The village hall, opened in September 2005, in the picturesque village of Petham, situated 4 miles south of Canterbury, is a much sought after venue. Just a few metres from the lovely country church of All Saints with a view across rolling countryside, the hall has gained the Hallmark III award for its facilities and management. Performances of drama, song, dance and other arts together with concerts, jazz evenings and various arts company bookings are all possible. Stage lighting, a removable stage, audio systems and a projector are available so that performers can enhance their shows.

Several groups meet on a regular basis and are listed on the Existing Users page.

There are two halls which can be joined into one large area and a room equipped for computers with an overhead projector. This particular room is ideal for IT courses or for business bookings – if your company is looking for a venue to hold a day conference or training day then Petham has everything you need. Broadband is available at the hall.

Petham is a particularly beautiful venue for wedding receptions, whether the bridal couple marry in the church or elsewhere. The hall has everything to make the reception memorable including a fully fitted kitchen for self-catering or outside caterers with space for about 130 guests.

The hire charges are very competitive whether for shows, weddings, conferences, courses, parties, etc. Several slots are available for regular or one-off bookings during the week, especially in the mornings and on Fridays.
